Met Office reports on April weather

by isleofman.com 2nd May 2008
There were plenty of April showers last month, some of them quite wintry.

Ronaldsway Met Office recorded some freezing conditions, with snow, sleet and hail.

There was ground frost on eight nights during the first half of the month, and temperatures were as expected for the time of year.

But it was generally drier and sunnier than average, and turned out to be the 5th sunniest April on record.

Wind speeds were higher than usual, at 13.6 mph compared with an average of 12.8 mph.
