Local authority against flouridation

Ramsey Commissioners have given an emphatic thumbs-down to plans to fluoridate the Isle of Man's public water supply.

The DHSS insists it would improve dental health among the Island's children, with no major side-effects.

However, after a meeting earlier this week, at which both the pro and anti-flouride lobby groups made their views public, the majority of commissioners last night vehemently opposed such a move.

Commissioner Richard Radcliffe says the pro-argument doesn't add up (audio file attached):
