Manx fire fighters off to Romania

A team of current and former fire fighters has been given an official send-off, ahead of a 2,000 mile journey to deliver three fire appliances to a town in Romania.

They are surplus to requirements and are being donated to the Eastern European country, where fire fighting equipment is very hard to come by.

The Romanian fire fighters will be trained in their use.

Manx firefighter Justin McMullin will be one of those driving the engines to Romania (audio file attached):
