The family of a man allegedly murdered in Douglas last week has released a statement.

Billy Rogers, 28, died in Noble's Hospital in the early hours of last Wednesday morning, after suffering a single stab wound.

The statement says members of his family are all shocked by the sudden loss of Billy.

They describe him as a kind hearted and generous person and say he will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

The family is also thanking the paramedics and hospital staff who tried to save him.

Twenty-six year old Arizona Devine Watterson, from Douglas has been charged with murdering Mr Rogers, and perverting the course of justice.
