Anglers to fish private streams?

An initiative by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry may allow anglers to fish private streams and water courses in the Isle of Man, with the consent of the owners.

A similar scheme is already in place in the United Kingdom, and DAFF political member with responsibility for fisheries Graham Gregeen says it may well be the way forward (audio file attached):
