Alternative to psych pills

Prescribing pills for conditions like stress and depression probably isn't the best way of treating them.

That's the opinion of Dr Fiona Macpherson, a consultant clinical psychologist and a specialist in cognitive behaviour therapy here in the Isle of Man.

Recent research by a Professor of Psychology at Hull University has questioned the validity and impartiality of trials funded by the very pharmaceutical companies producing the drugs.

Dr Macpherson agrees and says the psychological effect merely taking a pill or tablet can have must also be considered:
