MHK has more runway questions

An MHK says he wants to make sure Tynwald is not kept in the dark when it comes to the planned runway extension at Ronaldsway Airport.

Peter Karran has a number of questions on the issue in the House of Keys on Tuesday.

He has particular concerns about the comparison between the proposed project on the Island and a similar design in Shetland.

That promontory at Sumburgh suffered storm damage earlier this year.

In January Transport Minister David Anderson reassured House of Keys members that the extension planned for over here will stand up to any weather that could be expected.

But Mr Karran says that is not a good enough promise:
