MHK's Tynwald Day campaign

The MHK who believes the Isle of Man's national day should always be held on July 5, says moving it causes more problems than it solves.

David Quirk is bringing forward a private member's bill calling for Tynwald Day to be on a Saturday or Sunday if that's when the date falls.

Currently the festivities are held on a Monday if July 5 is at the weekend, but Mr Quirk (pictured) says it's a strange practice:
