DHSS slashes dental waiting lists

DHSS Minister Eddie Teare hopes anybody who wants an NHS dentist will be able to get one in the near future.

A shortage of dentists in the Island meant a year ago there was a long waiting list for people wishing to register.

But Mr Teare (pictured) says an initiative within the Department of Health and Social Security means that list has been slashed by around 70 per cent.

He says those still waiting haven’t been forgotten as his department is still working on the problem:
