'Sorry Johnny, we're full'

by isleofman.com 28th February 2008
The true story of how Johnny Depp was turned away by a Manx restaurant has been told on Manx Radio.

Dave 'Butch' Buttery was a judge in the 'Manxie Chef 2008' awards, during which he was asked about 'that legendary incident'.

It happened when the star of many films, including the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy came looking for a bite to eat at Dave's previous restaurant (audio file attached):

The top prize in 'Manxie Chef 2008' went to Sharon Challis of Onchan, for her spicy carrot and nut cake (see recipe elsewhere in the news section of this site).
