'Quake' felt in Douglas

It seems last night's earthquake was experienced in more parts of the Isle of Man than first thought.

The epicentre was in Lincolnshire and measured 5.2 on the Richter Scale, making it the strongest tremor in the United Kingdom for 25 years.

Manx Radio received reports of people feeling the effects in Ramsey, and the rumblings were also noticed in the capital.

Douglas resident Sheila Shields says she and her husband were woken by the quake (audio file attached):
