MER review welcomed by MHK

North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson is welcoming a review into the decision to close Northerly parts of the Manx Electric railway this year.

In the House of Keys yesterday, he asked Chief Minister Tony Brown to look into the issue again, hoping a way ccould be found to keep the line open.

Mr Brown said he would be happy to do so but made no promises, adding that engineers had already considered all the options.
