Children's safety and security paramount

'Realistic expectations' among our young people are important when taking their wishes into account in planning services for them.

Education Minister Anne Craine says an agreement has now been reached with all concerned on how best to develop services for young people, as part of the implementation of the 132 recommendations which came out of the inquiry into childcare. .

Mrs Craine (pictured) says skateparks and ice rinks might be nice, but safety and security needed to top the 'wish list':
