Liberal Vannin candidate for Ramsey

by isleofman.com 26th February 2008
A member of the Liberal Vannin Party will seek election to Ramsey Commissioners in April’s local authority general election.

Nigel Malpass (pictured) will bid for one of the six seats available in the ward of North Ramsey.

Mr Malpass, who stood for the House of Keys just over a year ago, believes his business and life experience would be a valuable asset to the board and the people of Ramsey.

He thinks ratepayers are keen for the commissioners to resuscitate life into the town and believes this could be achieved would be by encouraging government departments and financial service providers to consider relocating to the town.

The local authority election takes place on April 24.
