Border campaign gains support

Journalists from Border Television say their meeting with the Chief Minister on Friday about the proposed loss of the station was 'very positive'.

Presenter of Border's 'Lookaround' news programme Adam Powell led the delegation seeking support from Tony Brown and the Council of Ministers for the campaign to stop the ITV merger between Border and Tyne Tees.

Mr Powell, a member of the National Union of Journalists, says everyone spoke very highly of the news coverage Border provides for the Island.

He says they also received an 'exceptional reception' from the public who he says could help them with their campaign:
