Local authority election deadline

by isleofman.com 25th February 2008
If you're considering becoming a local authority member, you have until the end of March to make a decision.

Elections for the 156 members of the Island's 24 local authorities will take place on April the 24th.

The last date for the delivery of nomination papers for candidates is 5pm on Thursday March the 27th.

The last round of elections, in April 2004, saw only seven of the 24 local authorities with contested elections.

Voter turnouts ranged from 20 to 56%.
