Archibald Knox celebrations

A weekend of celebration for the life of Isle of Man artist Archibald Knox gets underway today (Fri).

A society dedicated to his life and work has arranged the event to mark the 75th anniversary of his death, beginning with a concert and lecture at St Matthew's Church in Douglas this evening at seven o'clock.

It will continue on Saturday with a Knox trail, and talks from experts in the field.

Founder and chairman of the society says Archibald Knox has wide appeal and it will do its best to promote his work all over the world:
