Island can 'focus closer to home'

A former Chief Minister says the Island can focus more on internal issues as it is now trusted to make its own decisions on international matters.

Donald Gelling was speaking after Tuesday's budget which was unanimously approved by Tynwald.

He says the Island has had to build up the trust of the UK and show, that as a Crown Dependency, we were able to negotiate for ourselves (audio file attached):
