Lisbon Treaty - no change

There will be no change to the Isle of Man's legal relationship with the European Union will not change as a result of the Lisbon Treaty.

Speaking in Tynwald this morning (Tues) Chief Minister Tony Brown reiterated his view given earlier this month in the House of Keys that the direct implications for the Island of the new European Constitution will be in name only.

But he admitted that some secondary effects could be harder to assess:
