DHSS pay modernisation

National Health Service staff in the Island are being reassured they CAN seek a review of new pay grades - imposed as part of a huge modernisation project.

The two year exercise to update pay bands, terms and conditions for thousands of health workers was hailed a major success when it was completed last month.

The overhaul is the first for many decades - and ensures parity between staff here and in the UK.

But some staff say the re-grading has been unfair - and inconsistent.

Project Manager for the modernisation scheme Julia Kaye says the whole process has been transparent - and anyone unhappy with the outcome can have their case reviewed:
