Halsall to Chase his dream

37 Isle of Man athletes will receive Manx Sports Aid support for the next year.

And swimmer Grant Halsall is the first recipient of the Gubay "Chase Your Dream" Scholarship to help fund a place at Plymouth College.

Two years ago, Albert Gubay gifted one million pounds to the Sports Council to be used for sport and educational purposes.

He says when he retired back to the Island, he didn't want to see anyone end a promising sporting career because of financial issues:-
