Free heart screening sessions

by isleofman.com 18th February 2008
Up to 500 people are expected to take advantage of the latest free screening session, to be staged by the Craig's Heartstrong Foundation, next month.

The event will be held at the Hilton Hotel, Douglas with the help of 'Cardiac Risk in the Young', or CRY.

Anybody between the ages of 14 and 35 is welcome to go along, on March 15 or 16, for an ECG scan for heart defects.

Last year eight of about 350 people were referred to a cardiologist for a more detailed scan.

The Craig Heartstrong Foundation was set up in memory of St George's footballer Craig Lunt (pictured), who died of an undetected heart problem, aged 25, in April 2005.
