Government network upgrade

The Isle of Man government's digital information network is being upgraded with new systems being developed in conjunction with Manx Telecom, 2E2 and Unisys computers.

In a direct comparison with other jurisdictions within Europe, the Isle of Man's online infrastructure and implementation of I.T. has moved from being an 'also ran' to a strong contender. But isn't this a huge waste of public money?

Director of the Government's Information Systems Division is Allan Paterson says not - technology moves on and old computer kit is rarely wasted:
