Lampkin struggles again

by isleofman.com 13th February 2008
Onchan resident Dougie Lampkin's poor start to the World Indoor Trials Championship has continued.

He finished sixth from the seven riders competing at the third round in southern Spain.

The five-time indoor and seven-time outdoor World Champion had 22 penalties in qualifying compared to leader Toni Bou on just five. Bou went on to beat Albert Cabestany and Takahisa Fujinami in the final.

Lampkin remains sixth in the overall standings on 8 points - 20 behind series leader Spaniard Toni Bou.
