Challenge for bird charity

The editor of the Manx Bird Atlas wants to see an expansion of the charity's remit, so the data they record and publish can be put to practical use.

Chris Sharpe says working out how to apply their findings to conservation initiatives and decision making is the number one challenge for them.

Speaking ahead of his talk at the Manx Museum later this week, Mr Sharpe says an assessment of the charity's funding sources is needed for this to be able to happen:

Chris Sharpe's talk, titled 'Manx Bird Atlas, the First Ten Years and Beyond' takes place this Friday at the Manx Museum Lecture Theatre from 7.30pm.
