Winter Gardens 'worth exploring'

A local architectural historian says he believes the idea of what is being termed a 'winter gardens' in one of the sunken gardens on Douglas Promenade is "an idea worth exploring".

Douglas Corporation is looking at extra possibilities arising when Government funds a ?10million promenade road refurbishment in 2010.

Peter Kelly says the name 'Winter Garden' may be not entirely accurate but the idea of expanding the season for the gardens should be looked at:
