New Bishop named

The Isle of Man has a new Bishop.

The Queen has today approved the nomination of the Reverend Canon Robert Paterson.

Canon Paterson, currently serves as chaplain to Dr. John Sentamu, the Archbishop of York.

Having served as a parish priest in the church in Wales, he worked in the field of mission at a national level and has worked on issues of theological education at an international level.

Canon Paterson (pictured) is due to be formally consecrated as Bishop after Easter.
