Keep site out of private hands - Christian

by isleofman.com 7th February 2008
Don't let the site of the former Summerland complex fall into private ownership

That's the plea from Douglas Council Leader David Christian, who is dead against the idea as he feels it would end up becoming another property development.

Mr Christian would like to see a joint project between the local authority and the Department of Tourism and Leisure, which could provide the Island with some new leisure facilities, particularly for its youngsters.

He says other things could be sited there too (audio file attached):

David Christian was speaking to Dan Davies on Talking Heads.
