LVP to contest elections

by isleofman.com 6th February 2008
The Island’s only political party says it’s gearing up to fight the local authority elections in April.

Liberal Vannin leader Peter Karran (pictured) says one of the topics for discussion at a Southern branch meeting later this week will be the election campaign and candidates.

He says the party will contest the elections, but he doesn’t expect to win a majority on any boards (audio file attached):

The Liberal Vannin's Southern branch will hold an open meeting at the Bay Hotel in Port Erin, starting at 8pm on Friday.
