Petition lodged over amenity site

by isleofman.com 5th February 2008
The first legal steps have been taken towards resolving the dispute over the civic amenity site at Middle River, near Pulrose power station.

The facility remains open and continues to be operated by Tel's Skips, which claims its contract hasn't been properly terminated.

However, the Department of Local Government and the Environment, which owns the site, disagrees and has lodged a petition of doleance.

The next court hearing, before Deputy Deemster Corlett, will be on April 17.
