Clothes Exchange fund raiser launched

by isleofman.com 5th February 2008
The Marks and Spencer and Oxfam Clothes Exchange has been launched.

Customers can help save lives and money with a woolly jumper, and those who include items of M&S clothing in their donations at the Oxfam shop in Castle Street, Douglas will receive a ?5 voucher as part of the deal.

The initiative will be trialed for six months, with the aim of increasing the quantity of quality clothes donated.

The Exchange is designed to help raise funds for Oxfam’s work with people living in poverty around the world, and reduce the one million tonnes of clothing sent by the public to landfill tips in the United Kingdom every year.
