Millionaire due in court again

Isle of Man based millionaire Trevor Baines will appear in court today on charges relating to money laundering.

The 67 year-old is charged with assisting another with the proceeds of crime and of falsifying records.

During his last court appearance his advocate said the charges would be vigorously opposed.

He was bailed in the sum of ?750,000 until today with his property, Africa House in Woodbourne Road, Douglas, as surety.

Mr Baines’ wife, Wendy Baines, will also appear in court on a charge of
false accounting.
