Tributes to bakery staff

by isleofman.com 1st February 2008
The head of Ramsey Bakery has paid tribute to his staff who were called into action yesterday when the ferry was cancelled.

He says workers did a twelve-hour shift last night to bake enough bread to fill supermarket shelves today.

Tesco trebled its order and Marks and Spencer doubled the amount it has delivered – meaning much more work for the company.

But Mr Duncan says so far everything has gone to plan thanks to his staff.
