MORE UNUSUAL WEDDING VENUES, PLEASE!

by isleofman.com 1st February 2008
A member of the Isle of Man Freethinkers thinks the government is moving too slowly with legislation that would allow people to get married outside a church or registry office.

Muriel Garland says she writes to the General Registry at least once a year to find out about its progress.

As a Celebrant, she has conducted humanist ceremonies at various locations around the Island.

Mrs Garland believes as long as the service is dignified, it could be be held anywhere.

And she says there are certain places over here which would be very special to certain couples.
