Hollywood stars set for Island

After weeks of rumours its been officially confirmed Hollywood stars old and new will be lining up in the Island's first two films of 2008.

Zac Efron - one of the industry's hottest new talents thanks to his lead role in Disney's High School Musical - is set to appear alongside Claire Danes in "Me and Orson Welles".

The film's being produced entirely in-house by CinemaNX, the Isle of Man Film's new financing arm

Prior to that Burt Reynolds will join British actors Imelda Staunton, Derek Jacobi and Samantha Bond in the comedy "A Bunch of Amateurs".

Isle of Man Film's Hilary Dugdale says attracting "Me and Orson Welles" to the Island is a most significant achievement for the industry here.
