Douglas must have spending priority

The leader of Douglas Council has said that major infrastructure work in the capital has to be a government priority.

David Christian (pictured), speaking on Manx Radio's Sunday Opinion, has admitted that surveys have proved that the state of the town is putting some people off from working in the Island.

He says the Council is doing what it can within its limited remit. But the major works will have to be done by Government:
