Correctness can go too far - Murcott

A former law lecturer at the Isle of Man College says political correctness is often in danger of back-firing.

Peter Murcott is responding to a children's story which has been rejected by the United Kingdom Government, because it might cause offence to Muslims.

It's called 'The Three Little Cowboy Builders' and is based on the tale of 'The Three Little Pigs.'

Officials have said it raises too many cultural issues, and shouldn't be used in schools, but Mr Murcott can't understand the decision (audio file attached):
