Action needed over food prices - MHK

Liberal Vannin party leader Peter Karran is calling on the government to take strong action over food prices.

In the House of Keys next week, he will quiz Chief Minister Tony Brown about what the Council of Ministers is doing to protect Manx consumers.

Mr Karran (pictured) says United Kingdom figures show prices are accelerating at the fastest rate since records began, and Manx prices are even higher.

He says the government needs a coordinated approach to tackle the problem:
