'Corporate parenting' plans progress

The Department of Health and Social Security's new 'Corporate Parenting' model has been introduced to Tynwald members.

It was one of the recommendations to come from the Commission of Inquiry into the Care of Young People, and emphasises the need for government agencies, as parents, to communicate and work together.

Director of Social Services Andrew Swithinbank (pictured), says changes are already being made.

He says its success will be judged by the impact it has on young people:
