Fire victim thanks public for support

by isleofman.com 23rd January 2008
A Braddan woman whose home was severely damaged by fire has given her heartfelt thanks to the Manx public.

A fortnight ago, Arlene Smith’s local authority property in Cronkbourne Village was set alight by a problem with an extractor fan.

Miss Smith, who moved into a new home with her ten year-old daughter last week, is praising the speedy actions of fire officers and paramedics.

And she is overwhelmed by the public’s support (audio file attached):

Arlene Smith is a tenant of Braddan Commissioners.

She was speaking to James Davis on Mandate PM.
