Local expert on radical students move

The United Kingdom government wants universities to promote a climate of openness and rational debate among students of different cultures and religions, in a bid to curb violent extremism.

It hopes to engage sometimes radical scholars, rather than marginalise them and drive them further into underground activities.

But, according to international terrorism expert and principal at the International Business School, Professor Roger Carey (pictured), the students will have to be open-minded and prepared to scrutinise their own belief systems (audio file attached):
