Enroute to Africa

Three intrepid travellers from the Isle of Man say they’re well on their way to reaching Timbuktu and completing a 4,500 mile trek in an old banger.

Juan McGuinness, James Jones and Ben Watterson are raising cash for the Manx Make a Wish Foundation as well as charities in Africa.

The trio managed to reach Morocco after two punctures but say their car is still going well.

Juan told James Davis another team – travelling in a London cab – also has Manx connections:
