Speaker pays tribute to Elspeth Quayle

More tributes have been paid to former Castletown MHK Elspeth Quayle, who died earlier this month aged 92.

This morning (Tues) in the House of Keys, Speaker Steve Rodan (pictured) said the former chair of the forestry, mines and lands boards was a remarkable woman.

He told the house Mrs Quayle was responsible for setting up the Arboretum at St John’s.

And he said she’d been involved in a constituency issue which remained pertinent to this day:
