IOM not 'cultural desert'

The administrator of the Manx Heritage Foundation says the Isle of Man is no cultural desert.

He hit out after a survey by a UK-based website found the Isle of Man had the fewest cultural venues and shops of all the places surveyed.

Norwich came top, beating the European Capital of Culture, Liverpool, and cities such as London and Edinburgh.

But Charles Guard (pictured) says not only were our museums not included in the survey, the researchers missed many other resources:
