Braddan row rumbles on

The former Clerk of Braddan Commissioners has refused to issue a public apology.

In Tynwald last week DOLGE Minister John Shimmin was critical of Charles 'Buster' Lewin for giving the impression that Braddan Commissioners were in profit or breaking even, when in fact there was a quarter of a million pound deficit for the financial year ending in 2007.

Mr Lewin claimed that the responsibility for the loss lay with the Commissioners themselves, as they are ultimately responsible for their finances. The Commissioners said they were astounded by Mr Lewin's reaction and demanded an apology from him.

However, speaking on this morning's Mandate programme (Tues) Mr Lewin said it's not him who should be apologising:
