Discoloured water warning

by isleofman.com 22nd January 2008
Householders in Onchan and south Laxey are being warned their water supplies may become discoloured tonight.

It's because work is being carried out to connect the mains to the new Douglas Water Treatment Plant.

The discoloured water should only appear late tonight and into Tuesday morning.

If if affects your supply, the advice is to run the cold tap in the kitchen until the water runs clear.

The Water Authority says it's essential work and is asking customers to be patient.

Anyone with serious concerns about their water supply can ring the Customer Helpline on 695999.
