Harbour scheme unveiled

Tynwald has been briefed on proposals for a marina in the inner harbour at Peel.

Next month members will be asked to vote on a ?3.1 million scheme, being put forward by the Department of Transport.

The plans include 124 pontoon berths, a new office building and the resurfacing of the boat and car park.

Director of Harbours Captain Mike Brew (pictured) says there are 118 people on the waiting list for a berth, and the scheme would considerably improve the area:
