Road scheme approved at second attempt

Motorists who use the road network around Governor's Bridge will see some changes to the layout in the coming months.

It's after Tynwald members backed the Department of Transport's motion to spend ?1.25 million on highway improvements.

Among other changes, the roundabout will be enlarged and moved slightly, with the aim of increasing traffic flow.

The plans were rejected by members at an earlier sitting.

Transport Minister David Anderson (pictured) says members were better informed this time around:
