Manx ship runs aground

by isleofman.com 14th January 2008
A Manx-registered cargo ship has run aground off the Norfolk coast.

The City of Sunderland had more than 600 cars aboard and was travelling between Zeebrugge and Tees Port when she ran aground in the early hours of this morning.

High winds caused the ship to list, and Yarmouth Coastguard was dealing with the incident.

Two tugs from Felixstowe were attempting to re-float the ship.
