Legal action over amenity site row

by isleofman.com 14th January 2008
The row over who operates the Middle River civic amenity site is heading for the Courts.

The Department of the Environment says it's taking action to gain possession of the facility, near Pulrose Power Station, after Tel's Limited refused to leave at the end of last week.

Tel's insists it has an ongoing agreement and that a six month notice to teminate that contract isn't valid.

The government department says Douglas Corporation now holds the legal contract, and it wants it to take over as soon as possible.

The amenity site opened for business as usual this morning, with Tel's Limited the operator.
